I manually update my laptop so often that I never see the popup saying Software Updates Available. Then I turned on my desktop which had been off for 2 weeks. After 2 days, I still never got the Software Updates Available popup, even though my desktop has the default setting to check for updates Daily.
I was coaching a user on upgrading to version 2.6. I had them run Updates first. Updates were taking a while. It was apparent that they'd not seen the Software Updates Available popup in a while or ever.
Could this "Updates server is down" post be the reason the Software Updates Available popup isn't showing anymore?
