I would like to personally thank all of those who have supported the project up until now. Without your generous support, we could not have made it this far.

There is still so much to do, so much to improve on and so much to offer. Your donations to date have helped maintain our web presence, hosting, repo server, domain expenses, Bounty payments etc and the recent purchase of the Linux Lite Development Workstation.

At some point in the future, we may look at supporting UEFI. Although personally I am against this technology because of how it controls users, we do ourselves no favors by excluding a large part of the Windows population of whom we are trying to convert to Linux Lite. This year, I'd like to purchase a UEFI computer of which to start testing UEFI support for the future. UEFI is unlikely to be supported in Series 2 of LL, but cannot be ruled out in the future.

It's my hope that in the future we can pay people full time to work on Linux Lite, but that is some time off yet. It takes years to build a credible distro but to date, we are on the right track thanks to some good magazine and online reviews.

We now accepts Donations in 23 currencies. If you would like to support the project in recognition of all of our work to date, and to support the upcoming 2.6 release on September 1st, and future development please visit here - https://www.linuxliteos.com/donate.html#donate

Thank you sincerely Smile

8) Nice message, let the donations begin!
Yes UEFI! Yes I've read your rant on UEFI and fully respect your opinions towards it. MS doesn't seem to realize that the Linux community (& BSD communites also) is not giving up without a fight. While UEFI is quick, it doesn't give the user any more freedom that we currently enjoy with BIOS and MBR technologies. We already have carriers in the United States that lock the bootloader on android phones, making it extremely hard to install CyanogenMod or other custom android OS's (ROM's in the android world).

It just sucks. All of us want this legal capitalism to end.

Hello!

Thank you, Jerry, for all you and the team have done to make Linux Lite a smashing success - not just for entry-level users, but for those at every level of Linux experience.

I'm always throwing in my two cents' worth around here, so in celebration of my 1000th public post, I have decided to donate two cents for each and every one of them.

It took a year-and-a half to get there, and I'd like to think that what I've had to say here (for the most part) has been helpful to others...

Rob,

It is I that has to give thanks. There are so many people like you in this community that give their time to help others, members and developers. This is exactly why I participate in free software - because it encourages people to share knowledge freely, it tells people that sharing is good and that you when help someone else, you help make this a better world. I hope to stay in your company for many years to come. I got your PM as well, so thank you.

Congratulations on your 1000 posts!!! Smile

Can you please point out where that is?
Here is the link I get in your post. It took me to a facebook page that said there was a problem with the link and asked if I wanted to continue to it. I did, and ended up at the desired location. I just checked the thread out in PaleMoon and got the same link.

Yes, but where is the link situated? You say 'your post' but I need to see where that is.
