hi im new to linux lite 1.0.8 and was wondering why the program Xarchiver cant open
the file it says archive format is not recognized? can anyone help me out here.

what is the complete name of the file?

the name is amd-catalyst-13.12-linux-x86.x86_64.zip

If you're looking to install your video driver, you should do it from Menu > Settings > Install Drivers. This is the recommended method.
