We'll need to see what kind of hardware you are running.
Here's my system info.

The hardware is a little on the weak side, I'm guessing this is a low spec netbook (good amount of ram though)?
Yes..no games or anything. Only thing I do with it that involves much is the streaming the news. And that has never been an enduring problem.
Thanks [font=Verdana][size=1em]rokytnji and Jerry for your time and help. Hopefully this issue will clear up on it's own. I appreciate your help.
Problem solved. I installed Chromium and then installed the pepperflashplugin and my videos are smooth and in sync.
I think, at least in my case, there is an issue with the adobe flash player. But I was able to work around it. Firefox and Chrome are useless for streaming newscasts for now.
Hope that you ll fix newscast issues soon mate .
So do I friend. I prefer Chrome over Chromium. Glad to get things smoothed out, but miss my good ol' Chrome Browser. ;D

The Google signing key and PPA are already included in LL. To install Chrome just use
Menu -> System -> Install Additional Software and pick it from the list. Have a feeling that's what was already done before by Dana Marsee. Unfortunately, I don't have any good ideas on why audio/video sync problems occur.
