Greetings, I am new to Linux Lite and just installed it today. I am trying to get sound on the internet (youtube, etc.). I would surely appreciate any help that I can get on this! Tks very much in advance.
Wonder if your volume s muted .
No, volume is not muted. I'm wondering if all of the correct multi-media codecs or something like that are installed. There are so many different ones that it gets confusing.
Ah , did you installed in Install Additional Softwares , Add Restricted Extras .
Overthinking is kicked in. No codecs needed for sound.
Settings are in Menu>Multimedia>Volume Control
Make sure youtube videos are not muted either in the volume task bar of youtube video.
Thanks a lot. Over thinking was definitely the problem. It was muted, though by

I went into sound settings and got it all straightened out. Not quite used to Linux lite yet and should have checked the manual out more thoroughly. Oh well...ha ha, at 61 I'm still living and learning. I came from using Fedora for the last couple of years and wanted a more lean system. There's differences but it is still linux. I really should have known how to figure this out, but was making a mountain out of an ant hill. Tks again!
Glad that you got it working .

Me too in a couple of weeks. But damn.
I look good for 61.
Have fun and Happy Trailz, Rok.
Ha! I look damned good for 61 also. Actually won't be there until Feb 2, but close enough to say I got over the 60 hump, Rok.
