** UPDATED **
Added Transcend Ultimate 600x @ 50% quicker on in-built reader, small improvements in external reader.

My interest in SD Cards was peeked when another thread brought them up.
I have an HP Laptop with in-built SD Card reader.
I thought I would try it, an easy local backup option possibly.
I immediately noticed how slow it was.
I have 3 8GB SD Cards all marked Class 10 but with other markings(speed claims.!!)
The results of benchmarking shown below,
1st row in the Internal Reader, SanDisk seems best on "Read".
Then in external USB Reader, PNY seems fastest "Read" now.
NOTE: USB 3 Card reader take access time up 100%

I used the screenshot tool(active window) saved as .png, imported them into spread sheet to align/size them.
Then I just selected the part of spreadsheet with the above, and then save it as as a .png. to upload to imgur.

I'm going to update it shortly,
I found a certain e-tailer selling some supposedly top spec latest MLC/UHS1 class 10's 16GB for $16.52

Don't think they will ever compete with my System Disks

Timing O_DIRECT disk reads: 332 MB in  3.01 seconds = 110.39 MB/sec  (WD "Black" 2.5", supposedly the fastest 2.5" consumer disk available)

((These are are in what was my main mid/high spec Win7Pro PC, now purring along with LL2))
